Course Information
Our 1 Day course is suitable for those working with infants and children, where a basic level of emergency care has been identified.

- Certificate valid for 3 years
- Taught by experienced trainers
- Interactive & engaging delivery techniques
The purpose of the qualification is for the learner to attain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of Paediatric First Aid situations.
Syllabus
A range of subjects are covered including:-
- Role of the Paediatric First Aider
- Primary Survey
- Resuscitation (CPR including the safe use of an AED)
- Wounds, bleeding and shock
- Seizure
- Choking
- Minor injuries
- Recovery position
Assessment
Continual assessment is used, combined with a number of observed practical activities and a short theoretical assessment, supported by our experienced trainers.
